Engagment photos are set at $100 and that price is subtracted from your wedding package as well.

The most important thing to know about engagement photos is that it should be looked at as a test run in hiring a photographer for your wedding.  You should make sure that your photographer is someone who captures the images you would like to have, and that your photographer is someone you enjoy to work with.

These photos go pretty quickly for the most part.  The most fun comes with setting up the photo shoot.  Picking a location that really brings out your personalities.  Living on the central coast the beach is always a popular choice, and there are tons of fun locations to choose from.  On the other hand others enjoy something a little more country like. Such as a barn or an open field.  I've also done engagements shoots on sets, and in the city streets.  Once a location is picked with a time and day I'm ready to rock and roll.

Engagement shoots usually take about 2 hours, moving around the location and trying to have as much fun as possible.  I do very little possing because I want to capture you the way you normally are.  I tend to get about 300 or more raw photos to chose from.  I then narrow down my favorite images to touch up in my digital darkroom.  I find images that really tell a story, a story of love and happiness.  I do my best to allow the photo to capture how in love the couple really are.

From there I make a disc with all the raw images and all my personal favorites touched up.  I then make myself available to do up to 24 more touch ups at no extra charge.  If there is a photo that is requested to be made black and white, or maybe one that you love that I didn't touch-up on my own I take care of it and e-mail to you.

With the disc of images comes full rights to the photos.  So you can get prints done anywhere at any time, or make copies for whoever you chose to share them with.  It's your love story to show off to the world.

As a bonus, if I ever shoot engagement photos for a happy couple and you bring me on to photograph your wedding, I take the price that was paid for the engagement photos off the wedding package. Think of it as a gift.
