Engagement photos are really the test. The test to see if my style of photography is right for the couple before they decide to bring me on as their wedding photographer. I take time with these, making sure to get these right, after all there is a good chance that they could be blown up to very large prints and put up for all to view at the wedding. That I don't want to get wrong.

Engagement photos are easy, because the couples are just so happy that capturing their love in a still image is so easy it hurts a little.

And because I'm fair, whatever the price may be for the engagement photo, I take that off of the wedding package if they decide to hire me as their wedding photographer also.

If they like my style anyways...
