I was only shooting for a little over a year when I was asked to photograph a wedding. At the time I was very scared to take on the responsibility, but she had trust in me and asked me to do it even after I admitted that I wasn't sure if I was the person for the job. I was honored though and decided to have it. I instantly fell in love with wedding photography. The pressure is kind of big, but the reward and amount of fun I have with it makes it all worth while. I've done several weddings since, and they have all had something incredibly fun about them. The photographs are so loving, and really tend to tell the story of the whole day. I work more documentary than anything else, trying to capture the moment while staying out of sight to not distract from the wedding itself. I can now get through a wedding with little to no stress, it's after the wedding is over that the real fun and work begin. I tend to come home with over 2,000 images to sort through and touch up. It's a lot of work, but I think everyone that I have taken photos for has loved the finished product.
